Set teens (and staff) up for success

How to Change the World has a great post on How to Not Choke.  Too often kids (and adults) are conditioned for failure rather than success.  This reminds me of when I was working in Nashua and there was  a middle schooler on the honor roll that the school tried to talk out of taking harder classes.  They didn’t see the point as a Latino kid from a tough part of town wasn’t expected to succeed and go to college.  This is important with our staff as well.
