National Youth Risk Behavior Survey

The CDC has published the Youth Risk Behavior Surveillance System has published the results from 2005 with data going back to 1991.  You won’t find this leading the evening news, but the number of high school students carrying a weapon is down almost 1/3 since 1991 and alcohol use and sex were down as well.  Those having sex were using condoms more often as well.  Conventional wisdom-and media influences- say the opposite, but we often deal with the extremes and don’t see the larger behaviors.  There is a lot of informatoin there and it is broken into easy to read fact sheets on different subjects.  Check it out.
