Execupundit shares a great quote by Jimmy Johnson.
.
“The only thing worse than a coach or CEO who doesn’t care about his people is one who pretends to care.” We frequently talk about being in the relationship business as most research will reflect that positive relationships with caring adults are the most effective tool in youth development. I would argue that every supervisor (or mentor/coach etc.) is in the relationship business as well. I’m not usually a Jimmy Johnson fan, but he was dead on with this.
