Non-profit Salaries

While compensation is usually not on top of survey results on why people choose or remain in jobs, it is usually in the top 3. Our organization has worked hard to professionalize our staff and raise salaries (not always as fast as our staff would like, but we have made strides). You do get what you pay for.  This will continue to be a tough issue in non-profits, particularly in a tight economy. Here are a number of articles on non-profit pay.  It is easy to realize that the salaries should be higher.  The hard part is figuring how to raise additional funds to pay for the raises.
